Wye Valley Ride with Martin Sun 16th Oct

Post by David George »

"Reasonable Experience" was required according to Martin!!! It's almost Wednesday & I'm just starting to walk again!!

What an epic ride though. Some awesome lanes starting with Limekiln which woke us all up then leading all over the place to find some great lanes before we reached Pantglas. Lewis sailed up like it was bone straight & flat!! followed by Ben. Well done guys. Sadly Alex hit a rock earlier on that took out his clutch cover around 11am so 6 became 5 as he waited for recovery. After lunch we did some less challenging lanes as we headed back to Chepstow. The Wye valley road back from Tintern to the racecourse was shut so I had no chance of bottling out & taking the road so up Pantglas I went with the rest of the guys! I felt like a ragdoll on that Berg 501 as it bounced off every rock on the way up. Worth every minute Martin thanks for making me feel welcome & giving me a great day. Think I'll have a plod around Chew next. Dave.
