When Dave Arndel proposes two days riding in remote North Wales, you do worry if you’ll be stranded forever.. whilst he gets lost or mends some part(s) of his Bike..
Well Dave has clearly turned over a new leaf and having done all the planning (?), he handed over the ride lead to Bry and rode round safely.. neither crashing or breaking down.
Spectacular scenery in Snowdonia but as expected dry and dusty.. the locals said the driest since 1976.. which Manty remembers fondly and recounted daily temperatures, average humidity, reservoir shortfalls etc etc etc
Camping was a good laugh, we’ll except when I forgot how flammable liquid gas is and almost burnt down Manty’s tent.. I can’t imagine the consequences.. and the local town’s pub and Curry House were friendly. Dave didn’t punch anyone and kept his language civil. Trev managed to source a kebab.
A great weekend. Thanks to Bry for leading, Manty for the tent and general Wisdom, Steve Filer for opening all the gates (?), Trev for not falling asleep whilst riding(but he really wanted to), Mike for mending his puncture and Dave for a style of riding not often seen ( I have video)
Ps after a total of 7 hours sat with Manty in the Van, I feel I could now strip the brakes on a 1985 Range Rover and replace the ABS modulator... I could do that in my sleep

Dude is correct. I accidentally included a photo of the ancient Buddhist temple near Cheddar.

- The TTR had a serious fault - blocked main jet. But 500m from end of day one so got it home on the choke! Stripped carb in campsite, found nothing but fixed it! Steve found tons of crap in his, cleaned it all out and it made no difference at all!
