Wet Wales in lieu of the coast to coast trip

Post by Chris Barrable »

Having again cancelled the northern coast to coast trip due to Covid restrictions we went to wet Wales. Campsite at Llandovery then rode the loops via Strata Florida and Rhayader led mostly by Mike Mant. I had an electrical fire when my phone charge wire got pinched in the steering head stops prior to the fuse. What's all that smoke? asked Filer. Bloody e'll! I also had a front tube puncture on the resovoir road which was caused by the rim lock fretting? the tube. Maybe it was pinched. Do we really need front rim locks? Opinion is not so I will remove it forthwith.

You might need the front rim lock Chris, down hill on the front brake.

This particular puncture was on the sidewall & you could faintly see the imprint of the new rim lock. Perhaps coincidence.
